These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DogBreedCompass website. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
2. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of DogBreedCompass and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.
3. Links To Other Web Sites
Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by DogBreedCompass. DogBreedCompass has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party web sites or services.
3a. Digital Products, Payments and Refunds
Some materials on the Site (for example breed ownership plans, delivered as a PDF and/or an online report) are sold as digital products. Payment is processed by Stripe or PayPal; DogBreedCompass never receives or stores your card details. Digital products are delivered instantly online after payment - nothing physical is shipped. Access links are personal to the buyer, valid for the period shown at purchase, and may not be shared or resold.
If a digital product is not what you expected, contact us within 7 days of purchase (reply to your receipt or write to support@dogbreedcompass.com) and we will refund it. Refunds close access to the product. Digital products are informational: they are not veterinary, training or financial advice, and the disclaimers on the corresponding pages apply.
4. Information Only - No Professional Advice
DogBreedCompass is an information website. All content on the Site - including breed traits, health and behaviour explanations, cost and budget estimates, calculators, quizzes, scores, comparisons, guides and downloadable documents - is general reference material published for information purposes only. It is shared to help you research a decision; it is not advice.
Nothing on the Site is veterinary or medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation, and nothing on it is legal, insurance, tax or financial advice. Using the Site, its tools, or any product bought through it does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship, any other professional relationship, or a duty of care between you and DogBreedCompass. Only a licensed veterinarian who has examined your dog can diagnose or treat it. Never delay seeking professional advice, or disregard advice you have been given, because of something you read on the Site. If your dog needs urgent attention, contact a veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital immediately.
5. No Warranty and No Guarantee of Accuracy
The Site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. We research and check what we publish and correct errors when we find them, but we do not warrant that any figure, price, date, statistic, rating, description or statement on the Site is accurate, complete, current, or applicable to your circumstances. All costs and budgets are modelled estimates, not quotes or offers, and real prices vary by provider, location and animal. Information also goes out of date; a review date is not a guarantee of accuracy.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DogBreedCompass, its owners, contributors and suppliers accept no liability for any loss or damage of any kind - including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss, loss of profit or data, veterinary or other costs, or injury to or death of an animal or person - arising out of or connected with your access to, use of, or reliance on the Site, its content, its calculators, its downloads, or any third-party site or product reached through it, whether the claim is in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised that such loss was possible.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any statutory consumer right that cannot be waived. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us, if anything, for the item the claim relates to. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you; the remainder still applies.
7. Your Responsibility
You use the Site at your own risk and you are solely responsible for your own decisions and actions, including any decision about buying, adopting, breeding, rehoming, feeding, training, medicating, insuring or caring for a dog, and any money you spend doing so. Before acting on anything found on the Site, verify it against your own circumstances and with a licensed veterinarian or other qualified professional. You are responsible for your animal’s welfare and for complying with the laws, licensing rules and tenancy or local regulations that apply where you live. You agree not to hold DogBreedCompass responsible for outcomes that follow from your own decisions, and to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Site or breach of these Terms.

8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
9. Changes
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
